Along with the new trends this season, NYFW will also usher new standards and practices that will help to protect the rights of models in America and eventually all over the world- we hope! One major push toward this movement is the Model Alliance organization, a non-profit backed by supermodels, agencies and designers alike- aimed at giving models a safe and confidential way to report abuse and seek guidance. you can read more about Model Alliance at their website or read this article at fashionista. Things look good, considering that the CFDA is supporting this cause, and many designers and fashion houses have created new guidelines for healthy models.
